Rocky Mountain Region Winter Burning Regulations

Many people in the Rocky Mountain region are confused about how they can enjoy a warm fire in their homes because the regulations and restrictions vary widely from one area to another.

The Rocky Mountain Hearth, Patio & Barbecue Products Association (RMHPBA) has compiled the following list of requirements for areas throughout the region that have restrictions. While this list offers a brief overview, it does not include all areas that might have restrictions. Areas not listed are assumed to have no restriction. However, RMHPBA encourages residents to contact their local city or county health department or air quality department for further details. In each section there is a phone number that pertains to each regulated area.
